Nickelus F is my stage name. I don't know where to start when it comes to talking about my music career.  I'll make this a super condensed version.  I wrote my first song in 6th grade, in 11th grade I won The Source Unsigned Hype Battle Competition that was in held in the Willie's Record shop parking lot in Southside Plaza on the south side of Richmond, VA.  That was my introduction to the music industry as a whole.  From there things picked up.  My first paid show was that same year at Longwood University; they paid me $800 to come perform for 30 mins.  Fast Forward.  I do some music with Drake.  I compete on BET's 106&Park and won the Freestyle Friday competition 7 weeks in a row before being entered into the Hall of Fame. Fast Forward some more.  I rebrand myself completely and release an album called Vices.  The album was critically acclaimed and garnered a strong cult following.  A couple tapes and a couple years later I release Triflin; written, produced and recorded by myself in a storage closet.  That storage closet album went on to become my biggest project at the time.  It reached #58 on the Billboard charts and continues to perform well.  My newest album "Stuck" was released on May, 11th, my graduation date, and racked up over 173,000 streams in the first month on Spotify alone.  Since releasing this project I’ve done 2 tours across the country, performing from NYC to LA. I created The Late Bloomer Club brand and generated consistent engagement and sales through the web store. Below are some album covers, videos, merchandise, photo, tour footage, video recaps and a lot more. This is regularly updated and will continue to grow so check back in!

STUCK album covers

This was the first video promo leading up to the release of Stuck

This was an ad I made for the physical CD copies of the album. These have sold out twice.

Leading up to graduation I did a lot of brainstorming on how I could make my graduation photos unique and interesting. Simultaneously I was finishing up my album Stuck’s artwork and social media rollout, in which the mantra was “I was Stuck but I Got Up!” The story of my returning to school post 30 and graduating went perfectly with the narrative so I decided to wrap my head in duct tape to go along with the album promo and drop the graduation photos the same day as graduation AND the album release. They were a hit on IG and I began to receive multiple messages inquiring on how to buy them. So I decided to package them up and add them to my website www.TheLateBloomerClub.com
